Other consultancy projects associated with public transport before 1985 include:

In 1990, as Chief Executive of RiverBus Partnership, Peter Warman was responsible for the commissioning and overall implementation of the real time passenger information and control system for RiverBuses that operated on the River Thames. He worked for the RiverBus Partnership at the invitation of Olympia & York (developers of Canary Wharf in London Docklands) when they were considering taking over the RiverBus Service in 1988. His work involved managing a £4 million investment and modernisation programme for the service which was completed by the opening of Canary Wharf in August 1991. Part of this investment included the RiverBus real time management and passenger information system. This automatically monitored the operation of the fleet and generated management information on passenger demand and service reliability. In addition, the system displayed on colour monitors the departure times of the next five vessels to passengers waiting at each pier. This was derived from the real time tracking of the vessels.

In 1984-85, Peter Warman was part of the team advising the UK Department of Transport on the implications for public transport operators and authorities, following from the proposed ‘Buses’ legislation. Since 1985, he has worked closely with a selected number of bus operators assisting in the development of business plans, management information systems and competitive strategies.

Developed and tested passenger requirements associated with the provision of real time information at bus stops in London. London Transport commissioned these projects in 1971, 1979 and 1984.
